Trev says:

A sort of more open ended Cluedo. Instead of trying to find out the standard killer/weapon/location, there are 40 specific cases where the parameters and requirements for winning are laid out. Players then move around the board, earning the right to look up clues in the clue book, until they feel they know the answer. They then look it up, as in Cluedo, and either announce they have won, or drop out of the game. I quite enjoy the less defined atmosphere. The main difficulty is that each case has to be pre-written, and there are only 40 in the box. You used to be able to buy extra cases, though, and may still be able to. I think this edition is still available.
